10AM Queensland kite flyers will launch giant and novelty kites.

10:00 AM Amusements rides open: Fun and food at the area near the Lions Shack.

11:30 AM – Register for Sand Sculpture, Frisbee competition on the beach

• Sand Sculpting - Many categories, free entry, great prizes.
• Judging of Sand Sculptures at 2 PM

12:00 PM Start of Rokkaku Fighting Kite heats.

• Sponsors kites do battle in the sky over Fisherman’s beach.
• Final heat at around 3.30PM

12:00 - Free face painting for the kids at Information Booth

12.30 - Kite Making - Build your own kit kite, decorate it and get aloft!

1:00 PM Official Opening by Rockhampton Regional Council Mayor Brad Carter

1:00 PM  Blowcarts (Land Yachts) on the beach and Kite Surfers on the water.
