Emu Park Lion’s Festival of the Wind 9/4/2017 – Australia’s Best Family Kite Festival

Planning is underway for Emu Park Lions club’s 16th annual Festival of the Wind which will be on Sunday 9th April 2017 – the weekend before Easter. We invite you to make it a holiday break for the whole family and bring along a kite or two and add to the fun and beach games and competitions of our free family kite flying day on Fisherman’s’ Beach. 


TEAM BEACH GAMES;    Here’s your chance to win $1,000 first prize, $600 2nd and $400 3rd for a worthy cause of your choice. Teams will also win nice spot cash prizes for their members. Have fun whilst participating in  Emu Park Lions’ Festival of the Wind Team Beach Games.  Sunday April 3rd  Games commence mid afternoon. Fishermen’s Beach Emu Park.  Teams of 6  will compete in 6 fun events. Participants must be 12 to 80 years of age.  Get your teams together and forward registration to festivalofhewind@gmail.com by 30th March or register on the day. School age participants will also receive a burger and drink. Festival of the Wind 2015 raffle prize winners:

Emu Park Lions with the assistance of the Australian Lion’s Foundation contributed $55,000 towards the construction of new Anzac Court and memorial walkway opened during the Centenary of Anzac week 2015.
